This is an antique copper \"Meteor\" percolator/samovar set by Manning Bowman & Co with original percolator basket, alcohol burner (also called a spirit lamp or fuel pot), sugar bowl, creamer, samovar lid, and coffee pot cezve ibrik with brass, floral stamped handle. This samovar is in gorgeous condition. It features a spun copper body with intact mirror shine and ornate legs. There is no severe denting.
The original percolator basket is inside. The samovar is complimented by dark wood handles on the spigot and the sides. The handles are reportedly heat-resistant. The bottom of the burner is stamped \"MANNING BOWMAN & CO. 1914 and Patent of November 8, 1904. It was produced in Meriden, Connecticut. The sugar and creamer bowls have light scratches on the patina.
The spigot has been tested and turns smoothly. It remains tightly sealed without loose joints and works at holding and releasing water perfectly. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐎 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞.
It measures around 11.5 inches tall and 7 to 8 inches at its widest point, including handles or the spigot area.
This is a fine collectible item in very good condition.
