Vintage patriotic military picture frame dated 1917, featuring a raised American eagle across the top, crossed U.S. flags, drum, rifles, and a shield marked 1917.
The frame appears to be cast metal with an aged gold/brass-tone finish and hand-painted patriotic details. It currently contains an old black-and-white photograph of a uniformed serviceman.
The back of the frame has an impressed marking that appears to read 944F or similar. Because of the age and wear, the exact manufacturer is unknown.
