Wonderful antique Wm. Penn wooden cigar box, dating approximately to the late 1920s–1930s.
The box features original printed paper labels over wood, including the Wm. Penn cigar graphics and an especially attractive William Penn portrait label inside the lid. Marked “5¢ Straight” and General Cigar Co., Inc. The underside identifies Factory No. 10, 12th District, State of Pennsylvania.

8½\" long × 5¼\" wide × 2¼\" high
This box is being offered in its original, unrestored condition. It shows substantial age-related wear, including paper/label loss, peeling and lifting, staining, discoloration, creasing, scuffs and edge/corner wear. The interior also shows staining and marks from use. Please examine all photos carefully for condition.
Despite the wear, the surviving graphics have wonderful character, particularly the colorful William Penn portrait inside the lid. A charming piece of early American tobacco advertising and a great display piece for a cigar, advertising or general store collection.
