For sale is an antique A&W Adams & Westlake Adlake Reliable railroad lantern for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The top opens and closes well. The inside looks like it had some surface rust and light wear although it has had some paint probably to stop any further rust. The clear globe has a few chips on the bottom but is solid overall. It has the PRR symbol embossed on the globe which does not show any wear or damage. The frame has held its shape well. It has Adlake and PRR information embossed on the top and the last patent date shows 1923. The top has some dings but is in very good shape with a little paint loss in spots. The lantern still has an old wick in it but the turn screw does not want to turn very easily. It may need some attention to get it turning good again. There is some rust in the bottom. The oil burner has \"DRESSEL ARLINGTON NJ\" on it so it is not the original one but is from the time period. This is a nice lantern that displays very well.Very good condition for its age.
