For sale is an authentic piece of early 20th-century grocery store advertising. This is an antique 16-ounce Monarch Breakfast Cocoa container featuring the highly recognizable and iconic Monarch Lion head trademark logo.
Dimensions: Measures approximately 6 inches tall x 3 inches wide x 3 inches deep.
Manufacturer: Packed by Reid, Murdoch & Co., Established 1853 (Chicago, ILL.).
Panel Features: Multi-city variant displaying various distribution hubs along the bottom borders including Boston, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and New York.
Condition Report: This item is being sold as-is in antique, weathered condition with a wonderful rustic farmhouse look.- Exterior: Heavy age-appropriate wear to the lithograph panels, including fading, surface oxidation, scuffs, and paint loss across the blue fields. The graphics and text are still visible.- Interior & Base: The internal lid and bottom floor have preserved their gold finish incredibly well with minimal spotting.- Mechanics: Features the original matching hinged lid, which remains completely intact and functions smoothly.
