Beautiful antique 19th-century Old Paris / Vieux Paris style porcelain portrait vase or urn, measuring approximately 11 1/2 inches high by 6 3/4 inches wide.
The vase has an elegant baluster form with flared rim, pedestal foot and elaborate applied scrolling handles. The front features a finely detailed portrait of a classical-style woman within a pale blue medallion, surrounded by hand-painted pink roses, foliage and small blue flowers. Gilt accents originally highlighted the handles and decorative details.
The underside bears an impressed 602 mold or form number.
Estate fresh with age-related wear, most notably considerable rubbing and loss to the original gilt decoration, particularly on the handles and raised areas. There is additional light surface wear and discoloration consistent with age. No maker’s mark has been identified. Please examine photographs carefully for condition.
