This gorgeous figurine inkwell shows an incredible details and lifelike face expressions. This is outstanding example of the work of Russian porcelain artists at Miklashevski Factory who blown life in this figurine. This inkwell reflects traditional forMiklashevski whimsical baroque style often inspired by 18th century French paintings.Bears incised M mark carved in the wet clay. These marks were applied before firing process this is why it is difficult to discern if the clay shrank or mark was blurred during the firing process.
Excellent antique condition. Pounces are not included. Professional very small area of stitch repair. Age related wear. See pictures for details as part of description.
