Antique American Pewter Coffee Pot Teapot Early Luther Boardman 19th Century CT For Sale

A scarce antique American lidded coffee pot or teapot by well listed CT pewter maker Luther Boardman, circa 1840. Beautifully crafted in a baluster form with a Baroque style handle. This was deaccessioned from the Filoli Mansion material culture archive, this grand SF estate and gardens are now owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Archival tags with item number present, appropriate L. Boardman touchmark seen on the bottom. In good condition considering age with typical wear to exterior including patina, small dings, evidence of polishing, a few scattered indentations, a few hairlines, handle repaired at body, etc. A few of the indentations should be able to be rolled out some.
