Up for sale is a beautiful single antique Art Nouveau taper candlestick holder, dating to the early 1900s. This piece features a classic, highly detailed raised relief design of grape bunches and leaves gracefully wrapping around the flared square base.
The holder is unsigned/unmarked, which is very common for decorative functional castings from this era. The interior of the hollow base displays a rough, distinct texture characteristic of early industrial sand-casting. Based on the style and craftsmanship, this piece is likely of French or European origin.
Condition:Good antique condition with an authentic, rich dark-brown aged patina. There is beautiful natural green verdigris tarnish hugging the inner rim of the underside, adding to its genuine vintage character. The piece is solid, heavy, and structurally sound with no cracks, splits, or repairs.
