A VERY UNUSUAL nutcracker created with meticulous hand carved detailing and artistic flair in a traditional Black Forest style. He is the classic hand-held German nutcracker.
Highly collectible and unique.
100% hand carved and finished, with the mouth/handle fully functional. He is carved from 2 solid pieces of wood. This is especially nice because there are no delicate or thin pieces to potentially break off, as with most nutcrackers
The 2 pieces of wood are securely held together by a large wooden peg, in the authentic antique style
There is a scoop carved into the bottom half of his lever mouth, which will easily hold a full sized walnut
He features a realistically carved face with a moustache and beard. The hat on his head is of an antique style shape, almost like a Gnome hat.
He appears to be a representation of The Green Man, a woodland spirit
He is carved on all sides, so he looks fantastic from all angles
The expression on his face is outstanding including his carved eyes and wrinkles on his forehead
In excellent undamaged PRISTINE condition. No scratches, nicks, chips, fading, or repair to wood, the lever mouth is also in excellent condition. See all pics and use zoom. Highly collectible and quite rare.
