Charming antique birthday postcard featuring a pair of bluebirds surrounded by large pink roses, green foliage and an ornate brown scrollwork border. “A Happy Birthday” is printed in elegant script on the front.
The birds, roses and leaves have deeply embossed details that give the illustration a lovely dimensional appearance. Marked “Printed in Germany” along the reverse edge. Its divided back, German printing and one-cent postage suggest an approximate date of 1907–1915.
The postcard was mailed to Julia Baker in Iowa and retains its original green one-cent postage stamp, cancellation marks and handwritten correspondence.

Antique preowned condition with age toning, discoloration, surface rubbing, stains, softened corners and edge wear. There are visible creases, small abrasions and general handling wear consistent with its age. The reverse has handwritten correspondence, an address, postal cancellation marks and an attached stamp. Please examine all photographs carefully for the complete condition.
