Beautiful antique turquoise-blue blown glass vase with hand-painted floral decoration and delicate gilt detailing.
The vase is exceptionally lightweight and made from very thin blown glass with a soft matte/satin surface. Its unusual form features a rounded body, flared trumpet rim, ringed pedestal stem, and wide stepped circular foot.
Hand-painted orange flowers decorate the body along with white and purple accents and finely painted gold foliage. Additional floral decoration surrounds the lower pedestal. The hand-painted and gilt decoration shows some expected age-related wear, which adds to the character of this older piece.
No maker’s mark or signature is present. Research into the form, glass construction, and decoration suggests Continental European manufacture, likely Bohemian, but a specific glasshouse could not be confirmed.
