Antique early automobile threaded wheel hubcap / grease dust cap, believed to date from the brass-era automobile period of approximately the 1910s–early 1920s.
Heavy brass-colored metal construction with a smooth unmarked face, internally threaded opening and small rectangular side lug/notch. Measures approximately 2½ inches across the threaded opening; please refer to ruler photos for exact dimensions.
Original unrestored condition with age-related tarnish, oxidation, scratches, discoloration and surface wear. Internal threads remain clearly visible. No manufacturer name, automobile marque or part number has been located, so the exact vehicle and wheel application are unknown.
