Offered is an authentic Buckle pattern goblet produced by Bakewell, Pears & Co. in clear flint glass, dating to the late 1860s to early 1870s.The Buckle pattern is recognized by its repeating oval buckle like medallions framed by arched panels filled with fine diamond crosshatching. This example displays beautiful clarity, strong molding, and retains original manufacturing bubbles, a normal and desirable feature of early pressed flint glass.Bakewell, Pears & Co. was one of Pittsburgh’s premier glass houses, active in the mid 19th century and known for refined tableware produced just after the Civil War.Details
