Made by Tokio Cigarettes. Roughly around 1910,
the American Tobacco Company employed
several prominent cartoonists of that era-
including Tom McNamara, to illustrate
humorous and topical comic buttons. They were
distributed inside packs of Tokio Cigarettes. Each of the artists signed their designs.
Tom McNamara, most famous
for creating the comic strip "Us
Boys", also worked on the early "Our Gang
(Little Rascals)" silent film comedies.
