Manufactured by the renowned Carl Schneider Porzellanfabrik in Gräfenthal, Thuringia, Germany, this complementary set depicts a young boy and girl standing by rustic picket fences set against natural tree stumps.
True to their original purpose, these pieces are beautifully sculpted with flat backings and a hollow cavity design meant to be displayed safely on a shallow Victorian fireplace mantle to hold rolled paper tapers or fire-lighting spills.
