DescriptionANTIQUE CELLULOID LITHOGRAPH PORTRAIT SEWING BOX — FILLED WITH VINTAGE CROCHET THREAD, HOOKS & HANDMADE LACEUp for sale is a charming antique round sewing/vanity box, wonderfully preserved as a time capsule of early 20th century notions.THE BOX- Round celluloid/mesh-covered box, approximately 10-11 inches in diameter and 3-4 inches tall- Lid features an oval lithograph portrait of a Victorian-style woman in a green hood, under a domed celluloid window- Decorative gold metallic mesh/lace trim around the lid edge and body- Ornate paisley/floral patterned fabric lining the sides- No maker\'s mark visible- CONDITION: Sold as-is. The cardboard base shows a crack/split with old dried adhesive residue (see photos). There is a small tear/separation in the gold metallic trim near the seam. No odors or stains present.
