Beautiful pre-WWII German blown glass Christmas pickle ornament measuring approximately 4½ inches long and 1½ inches wide.
This early figural ornament features deep green silvered glass with a wonderfully molded, dimensional pickle form. The original metal crown cap is clearly stamped GERMANY, and the ornament retains its old wire hanging mechanism.
Beneath the cap, the rough snapped glass neck from the traditional blown-glass manufacturing process remains visible. This is a wonderful example for a collection of antique German Christmas ornaments, early figural glass, or vintage holiday decorations.

Condition:
Very good antique condition considering its age. No cracks or repairs observed to the ornament body. The green finish retains beautiful color and gloss with expected age-related patina, surface wear and areas of finish loss.
The rough, irregular glass neck beneath the cap is part of the original manufacturing process and is shown clearly in the photographs. The metal cap and wire show appropriate oxidation, discoloration and age-related wear.
