Up for sale is an authentic, mid-19th-century antique combination utility knife and saw manufactured by the famous Henry Disston & Sons (Keystone Saw Works) in Philadelphia, PA.While originally patented as a butcher's and bread utility tool, these distinct dual-edge knives are highly sought after by Civil War collectors. They were widely used in military camp kits and frequently utilized by battlefield surgeons as field amputation bone saws.

Maker's Mark: Blade is stamped with a highly legible, clear "KEYSTONE" maker's mark.
Blade: Dual-sided steel featuring a sharp crosscut saw edge on one side and a smooth knife slicing edge on the other.
Handle: Original cherry wood handle with the characteristic heart-shaped guard and the original metal lanyard hanging ring intact at the butt.
Condition: Overall good antique condition. The wood handle is solid with no major cracks or chips. The blade shows expected age-appropriate surface rust/oxidation but has no deep pitting and retains sharp teeth. (Please see photos for exact condition)
