Antique Civil War Era Soldier Portrait Identified With Signature. William Rankin For Sale

This large sized CVD,Civil War-era portrait features a Union officer, Captain William Galloway Rankin, of the 13th Infantry Regiment. His personal signature, "Faithfully, Wm. G. Rankin," is inscribed in ink on the image's lower right corner. Rankin served from 1861 to 1870 and was promoted to Brevet Major and Lieutenant Colonel in 1865. The reverse shows signs of age and markings. Documentation on Rankin's service history is included.Picture measures:  7 in by 9 in
