Antique English Tall Case Clock By Joseph Osborn, Lane End Ca. 1845 - Running For Sale

This is a great antique mostly original tall case clock signed by Joseph Osborn in Lane End made circa 1845. The signature was faint but able to be identified by UV light and with help of the NAWCC. It runs well and keeps time having recently been serviced in the last 10 years (likely due again) but does currently have some quirks that need knowledge adjustment. The chime count is off and the number of hours chimed is not correct or consistent. The day hand works great but gets stuck at 28 and does not proceed. These are small issues and minor adjustment for its new owner to tackle as a small project after transport. Overall it is in fantastic condition with only minor veneer loss and it retains its original feet. The dial has been touched up by an amateur in its life to strengthen the black chapter ring and numbers. It’s a display piece and runner as is or it could be professionally restored as a great candidate. It is about 91” tall to the top of the hood finial.
