This pre-owned piece was a display piece previously with little to no wear at all, shown in pictures, and is in excellent condition. There are some slight manufacturing errors, also shown in pictures, that are present in every hand crafted piece that do not decrease from its authenticity but add to it. There is NO crazing, or cracked glaze at all. The bottom stamps of "Bavent, Made in France" are the exact stamps used by the company for generations, so placing an exact manufacturing date is difficult. During the late 19th century and early 20th century though, they experimented with other clays besides the classic red Norman terracotta clay, using clays that appear yellowish or white upon firing, this was known as the "White Terracotta" era. The glass eyes are in excellent condition, see pictures.
