This antique French Louis XVI style oval frame features a cast gilt bronze ribbon and bow crest with textured chasing along the rim. Housed beneath flat glass is a finely detailed etching depicting an 18th-century Rococo courting scene. The reverse shows an engraved or stamped "CA" maker's mark and the original hanging ring fitted with an antique carved wood peg stabilizer. Perfect for display on a gallery wall, vanity, or bedside vignette.
CONDITION
Very good antique condition. Shows age-commensurate patina, minor surface darkening, light tarnish to the gilt bronze finish, and subtle shallow dents along the rim consistent with age and handling. The flat glass is intact without chips or cracks, the original fold-over tabs secure the backing firmly, and the hanging loop remains securely wedged by its historic carved wooden peg.
