A charming antique French pieced quilt dating c 1870. This quilt uses many wonderful fabrics none of which particularly match! It gives the overall look more of a little work of art! ~*~ blues, teals, pinks, reds, neutrals , stripes florals...you name it! This quilt has a thin cotton batting and is hand stitched and hand quilted! ~The fabrics range in date from the early 1800's to c 1870 being the latest ( the teal rose pattern! ) This textile would make a wonderful quilt, bed cover, hanging, heavy shower curtain ...etc! ~*~ There is a long tear on the striped side which can be closed by hand easily . Otherwise in generally very good condition! ~ This quilt can be washed in the machine on hand wash cycle in cold water and hung to dry . ~*~ ~*~ ( quilt 447)
