Dating from the early 20th century and used in the past as a cake serving plate (note the cutouts), this beautiful delicate piece could also be used as a trinket dish. It features detailed hand-painted mums and greenery. The edges of the plate have an embossed design with a lavender motif. The scalloped rim is also highlighted in lavender and the entire piece has an iridescent luster finish. The Germany 176 makers mark places its manufacture sometime after 1887 and before WWI.
Measurements: 9 1/4" in diameter, 1" deep
Good Condition: considering its age, this plate is in good condition. There are two hairline cracks that do not affect the integrity of the piece, one on either side of the plate. They
are barely visible (see photos). Considered in pricing.
