Authentic antique Goodell Co. “Turn Table ’98” cast-iron apple peeler/parer manufactured in Antrim, New Hampshire. The frame is clearly embossed with the maker, model and May 24, 1898 patent date.
This unusual gear-driven design clamps to the edge of a table and features multiple exposed gears, a hand crank with wooden knob, fruit-holding fork and peeling mechanism. It displays beautifully as an early American kitchen tool, farmhouse collectible or restoration project.
This example is being offered in as-found condition. It has substantial surface rust, oxidation, worn paint, grime and general age-related wear throughout. The gears and moving parts have not been fully tested, and I cannot guarantee that every original component is present or operational. No cracks are immediately apparent in the cast-iron frame from the photographs, but please examine all pictures closely for exact condition and included parts.
