This is a lot containing one H.C. White Co. "The Perfecscope" stereoscope and 119 stereoscope viewing cards. The machine is in near perfect condition. The condition issues I can find is the velvet is starting to come away from the upper edge of the viewing area (see pictures 4 and 5). Could be fixed with glue but I will leave that decision up to you. Otherwise, the hand works, the arm is straight, and the lenses are in great shape. Beautiful example of this machine.
The stereo cards are a treasure trove of images from the turn of the 20th century. The subjects include National Parks in their infancy (Yosemite, Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs), attractions across the American West and Southwest, famous places in Europe (Paris, Monaco, Italy, etc), a full Passion sequence, and sights from Egypt and the Middle East. One note - not all of these cards will naturally fit in the Perfecscope. The adaptation is to simply put a piece of correct sized paper behind cards that are slightly to small but fair warning.
This is an amazing lot for any stereoscope enthusiast!
