Antique Hand Painted Standard Oil Company of California 5 Gallon Jug Twist Lid For Sale

Take a look at this beautiful antique Hand Painted with beautiful dual Mountain and Desert nature scenes. We have a Standard Oil Company of California 5 Gallons Liquid Galvanized Steel Jug/ oil can complete with original Twist-off Lid. Made by Ellisco in the 1920-30s and in great condition, this can is in great shape for it age, thick, and heavy with little to no corrosion inside or on the bottom, as the rest is painted, it has been protected. This must have been stored inside and lovingly cared for with the condition it is in. It has some small paint loss (mostly flecks on the lid), but no evidence of any corrosion and all sides are strong. Very Robust and heavy thick walls with no noticeable weak spots.

The painting surrounds the can, with one side having a desert scene with cacti & and Hummingbird and the other half showing an evergreen forest waterfall scene with Bald Eagle. Both scenes transition into the other on either side, and overall, it is painted in the style of \"Bob Ross\" but is unsigned.
