Green bordered, hand-embroidered and hand-appliquéd heirloom quilt

3 sides - the bottom and 2 sides have scalloped tan edges. The top of the quilt is not scalloped but has the same tan colored edging but in a straight edge

The orange Sue on the right hand side of quilt has some orange bleed thru to the back. This is pictured.

Craftsmanship Details

• Blanket Stitch: The bold, black border around the pink bonnet is a hand-done blanket stitch, used to secure the appliqué edge.

• Embroidery Accents: The blue and yellow flowers on the bonnet are stitched by hand using a basic lazy-daisy or star stitch.

• Outline Stitches: The black lines defining the arm and clothing folds are hand-stitched stem or backstitches.

Hand Quilting: The wavy background lines are textured hand-quilting stitches running through the white fabric layer.

Please see flaws in last pictures - one of the orange Sue\'s has orange color bleed around and on other side. There is a small brown stain. The edge of border has one small frayed area.
