Family Crest (Kamon): Embellished on the front with a gold Kuyō crest (Nine-Sun/Star motif), a renowned crest widely used by prominent samurai clans such as Hosokawa and Date.
Features & Condition: Features textured lacquer work along the raised ridges. The underside is coated in traditional red lacquer and retains its original cloth padding and chin strap. Shows authentic age-related wear, including lacquer cracking, surface flakes, and textile aging, creating a rich historical patina.
