Antique Continental Pewter Plate – Late 18th Century
Authentic antique Continental European pewter plate measuring approximately 8¾ inches in diameter.
Features:
Three original pewter touchmarks on the reverse.
One touchmark includes the date 1791.
Another depicts the classic Lady Justice (Justitia) holding scales with a stag/deer, a well-known Fein Zinn (Fine Pewter) quality mark used on Continental European pewter. Similar marks are found on late 18th-century Continental plates. �
