DESCRIPTION
Traditional Papago (Tohono O'Odham) or Pima (Akimel O’odham)basket. Geometric stepped zigzag motif. Material is devil's claw and probably bear grass.
CONDITION
Overall very good. Structurally sturdy and sound, tightly woven and coiled. All weaving intact, no broken strands evident. Rich surface age patina (all visible in the images).
