Antique Japanese Hand Painted Nippon porcelain covered dish, dating to approximately 1911–1921. Petite three-footed form with fitted lid, hand-painted pink rose garlands, pale powder-blue banding, gold gilt trim, and stylized floral decoration.
Marked on the underside with a blue Hand Painted Nippon Rising Sun backstamp.
Measures approximately 3 3/4” diameter x 2 1/4” high with lid.
The exact original function is not documented; the form is consistent with a small covered dresser or vanity dish and may also be described as a trinket or powder jar.
