Antique Nippon Hand Painted Moriage Maple Leaf Mark Gold Floral Vase 10.5” Japan For Sale

This antique Japanese Nippon vase dates to the first decade of the 20th century, 1900 - 1910. It is a beautiful antique vase standing about 10 1/2" tall and 7" largest diameter. The piece features extensive raised moriage work to provide extra details. The glaze underneath depicts subtle pink roses set against a very pale green background. The top has a pair of gilt handles and a round opening. The bottom displays the maple leaf mark that is believed to belong to the Maple Leaf Nippon Group, a mark commonly linked to the Matsumura Brothers. They exported to the West in the early 1900's.Condition is very good for its age: no chips or cracks, some wear to the gilding consistent with age, especially on the handles.Measurements are: diameter 7", height 10 1/2".
