This offer is an aqua color early 19thcentury liquor flask.A wonderful patriotic show piece it great color.It is decorated with a molded US eagle with shield and arrows on one side and a liberty head with liberty cap under a field of 13 stars on the shoulder.The script letters “B & W” appear below the eagle.
The bottle has an open pontil and what appears to be an irregular fire polished lip approximately 1 inch across.The flask is 6 3/4 inches tall, 4 3/8 inches wide, and 2 11/16 inches thick in the middle.The flask was blown in a two-part mold.It shows distinct whittle marks and seam lines from the mold.
Condition:
The glass is bright and shiny overall.It has no cracks or chips but has a manufacturing defect at the bottom where the gather did not blow out to fill the bottom of the mold, so the flask is a little wobbly standing on its base.This defect does not affect the decoration/design.
