The clothing dates it: soft collars with bow ties on two of the men, a fedora and two soft crushed hats. The man on the right went fishing in a necktie and didn't take it off for the catch. The man in the center is wearing tall lace-up boots with a dozen-plus pairs of eyelets and hooks running up the shin — the kind of serious field boot that's half the reason photos like this get collected. They're posed on a grass bank with brush and cut timber behind them, all three grinning.
The stringers hold what appear to be bass along with a number of smaller panfish, strung through the gills and hanging nearly to the ground.
The back carries four gummed album corners, so this spent its life mounted in a photo album before being lifted out. There is no writing on the reverse — no names, no place, no date. The men are unidentified.
