Original vintage real photo postcard showing a fascinating rural farm scene with a family and group of men during hog butchering day. Several dressed hogs are hanging from wooden frames while the group works outdoors near the farmhouse and outbuildings. A large windmill rises prominently behind the house.
Excellent early rural Americana subject matter with strong occupational, agricultural and social-history interest. The reverse is an unused divided-back postcard with “Stom Collection” handwritten at the top.
Shows age-related wear, staining/adhesive residue and surface loss on the reverse, particularly around the corners. Front presents very well overall with good contrast and considerable period detail. Please review photos carefully for condition.
An excellent original image for collectors of real photo postcards, farm life, agricultural history, butchering/meat processing, windmills and rural Americana.
