Antique Royal Copenhagen White Porcelain Ewer Pitcher 3 Blue Waves 11.25" Rare.
Striking large white porcelain ewer attributed to the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory by the distinctive three hand-painted blue waves on the underside, the historic factory trademark adopted in 1775.
This unusual form measures approximately 11¼" high to the top of the handle, 10" high to the top of the spout, and approximately 4½" across the body/base area.
The piece features a beautifully proportioned ovoid body on a pedestal foot, elongated pouring spout and tall applied loop handle terminating in a pointed leaf/shield-shaped attachment. The porcelain and construction display slight handmade irregularities, including variation in the placement/form of the applied handle.
The underside carries three blue waves only. No model number, crown, Denmark mark or other factory inscription is visible.
Dating: The three waves have been Royal Copenhagen's factory trademark since 1775. Because this example lacks the later identifying backstamp information normally used to establish a specific production period, I am not representing a precise date of manufacture.
Condition is shown extensively in the photographs. Please examine all photos closely. NO CHIPS or CRACKS.
An unusual and visually impressive piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain.
