Ruby Lynne Peery (whose monogram \"RLP\" is elegantly hand-engraved on the front) was part of a lineage that included local doctors, merchants, and civic leaders. This compact is a classic example of turn-of-the-century \"dance\" or \"chatelaine\" accessories.
