Offered is an antique 1912 “The Standard Diary” pocket diary, published by The Standard Diary Co. A wonderful piece of early 20th-century Americana and vintage paper ephemera.
The diary features its original decorative illustrated cover, 1912 calendar, postal-rate information, accident and first-aid instructions, poison/antidote information, and other period reference material. The diary has been used and contains handwritten entries, names/notes and monetary amounts dating from the period.
It comes with the original leather/fabric protective slipcase, which shows considerable age and wear consistent with its approximately 114-year-old age.
Condition: Overall antique condition with age-related toning, foxing, writing, wear and discoloration. The leather case has significant wear and some deterioration. Pages remain present, but there may be additional writing, marks, or imperfections throughout.
