Fantastic find! True antique scrapbook with seven (7) pages of pasted-in/glued die-cuts. Backside patent of scrapbook is dated 1876. Scrapbook measures 16 x 12.25 inches; the front, back and side exterior binding has stamped impressions, paint, and applied artwork embellishments. The die-cuts include flowers, girls, cats, and US presidents, etc. We assume the die-cuts date to pre-1900 due to the Grover Cleveland die cut that is inside. The rest of the many pages in the scrapbook are blank.
This is a used, pre-owned item. As would be expected, the scrapbook has imperfections and flaws. The paper pages are yellowed and brittle. The binding is intact but loose. The front exterior cover has missing artwork. There is edge and corner wear, peeling, and small holes, etc. Smells fine. It is an imperfect item.
