Description Offered for your consideration is an antique flue cover.  Covers were very popular in the home in the early to late 1800s to the early 1900s.  The metal framed cover has a glass front and still retains the original backing, as well as a chain for displaying.  The print depicts a young artist in period clothing, creating a beautiful landscape painting.   Although many of these covers were made in Germany, I do not detect any marks of maker or origin anywhere on the creation.  There is some handwritten personalization to the backing of the cover.  Overall, the cover is in very good \'as found\' condition, with no breaks cracks or repairs.  The colors of the print are still bright and vivid.  There is a small area of staining to the picture at the very bottom (see photo #6)  The cover measures 9 1/2\" in diameter and is about 3/16\" thick.  It has a weight of 10 ounces, and will ship at 2 pound 4 ounces, as it will be double boxed for protection.  A lovely addition to the home decor.  sales can be combined to save on shipping.  Thank you for viewing my listing.   Payment Thank your for visiting my site.
