Antique English copper kettle with beautiful aged patina, brass fittings and a distinctive insulated copper handle. A wonderful display piece for a collector of Victorian copper, British metalware or antique kitchenware.The brass handle support bears a British Registered Design diamond mark. Based on research into the coding used on these marks, our interpretation suggests a registration date of March 17, 1870. This is an antique piece showing significant age and use. There are dents, oxidation, discoloration, scratches and surface wear throughout. The interior tinning/lining is heavily worn. The bottom has an old repair with corrosion and substantial material from the historic repair, all clearly photographed. The spout tip also shows age/wear.Because of its age and condition, this kettle is being sold strictly as an antique decorative/display or collectible piece.
