For some reason, I just feel terribly sad for this little girl, and feel like something is wrong. I purchased it in New England about 20 years ago. Was in a stack of old photos, framed cabinet cards. But the picture always makes me sad. My daughter always called it a "Victorian Gothic" photo. The backing needs replacing, frame is worn, and inside photo could be dusted off.
