Antique Victorian Treen Dual Stamp Box with Inlaid Enamel Envelope Plaque
A fine late 19th-century Victorian period (circa 1880–1900) desk stamp box hand-crafted from solid hardwood treen with a stepped plinth base. The top lid features a flush-inset beveled enamel miniature postal envelope accented with black folded-flap outlines and a central simulated red sealing-wax dot.
The interior opens to reveal a dual-compartment caddy with sloped wooden ramps designed for effortless stamp dispensing. The underside retains its original dark green protective baize/felt lining. A classic piece of antique Victorian postal history and desktop ephemera.

Condition:
Very good untouched antique condition with authentic age character. The wood shows genuine handling patina and historic darkening consistent with age. The brass hinge operates firmly and smoothly, closing flush. The envelope plaque is firmly set in its carved recess with minor expected edge glaze wear shown in close-ups.
