A genuine antique/vintage ‘Archimedes’ fretwork hand drill, likely to date from the first half of the 20th century.Steel spiral stem with beech wood handles.The drill is hand-powered and works on the Archimedean principle; the drill rotates as the barrel is moved up and down on the stem.The drill has a fixed, non-adjustable chuck with an aperture of approximately 2mm (0.08 inches).Length: 230mm (approx. 9 Inches).Good used condition with a smooth action (naturally aged patina to steel stem).
