Vintage Chalkware Bust of Charles Dickens, the Literary Author Sculpture
This is a handsome antique or vintage plaster/chalkware bust of Charles Dickens, beautifully modeled with his iconic swept hair, mustache, full beard, waistcoat, and formal coat.
Measures approx. 8” tall.
The bust is hollow and appears to be plaster or chalkware rather than porcelain. It has a matte antique white finish with age-related signs of wear consistent with age and material.
It has darkened over time which adds to its moody old library feel.
No major loss to the face or bust form noted, some chip type marks on the back of his head. See photos.
