I obtained a small collection of antique stoneware tankards & pitchers so please check my seller\'s list for more. There were pieces of paper inside, I have images. This listing is for a vintage stoneware lidded pitcher (or jug or tankard?) with an elaborate relief scene of men on horses, trees, and other figures and designs. The pewter lid is hinged. Entire jug measures approx 8\" tall. Bottom has incised markings Published by W. Ridgway October 11th, 1835, an illegible name, with the number 9 or 6 and either a letter V or L or some kind of maker\'s mark. You\'re getting it just as I did, good, unbroken vintage condition, hinged lid intact, normal wear & tarnish patina from age and use, has a hairline in it (as shown), sold as found.
