The clear glass body is decorated with a fine, repeating star-shaped diamond (starburst) pattern that catches the light beautifully. It is fitted with a metal (silver-plated or brass-tone) rim, hinge, and clasp. The metal shows authentic age patina, and there are no signs of modern repairs or glue residue — typical indicators of a genuine period piece.
