Antique wooden “The Perfect School Crayon” box manufactured by The American Crayon Company of Sandusky, Ohio and New York. Originally held 100 sticks of white dustless school chalk. Features attractive factory-printed advertising, finger-jointed corners, and a rustic aged finish. Approximately 4 1/2 inches wide, 4½ inches deep, and 3¾ inches tall. The sliding lid is missing. Condition includes fading, scratches, staining, a small hole through the advertising panel, corner damage, and other wear from age and use. A desirable early schoolhouse, advertising, or Sandusky, Ohio collectible.
